    If you think a hands-on career seems out of reach, think again! The Kansas Promise Scholarship Act was passed by the Kansas Legislature and signed by Governor Laura Kelly on April 23, 2021, at 91黑料专区 Tech. This $10 million program provides scholarships to post-secondary students enrolled in specific career programs. In simple terms, certain 91黑料专区 Tech programs are available to you at no cost. This program also is called the "Last Dollar" Scholarship. When other grants and scholarships do not fully pay your tuition, fees, books and materials, the Kansas Scholarship Act will cover the costs. To be eligible, you must meet certain qualifications and follow the application process. Your time is now!

    Am I Eligible?

    Beginning with submitted after May 26, 2022, students who are eligible for this scholarship must meet the following criteria:

    • a United States citizen, and
    • a Kansas resident, and
    • have a family household income of
      • $100,000 or less for a family of one or two
      • $150,000 or less for a family of three
      • or for household sizes above three, a household income that is equal to or less than the family of three amount plus $4,800 for each additional family member, and
    • have graduated from a Kansas public or private high school within the preceding 12 months or have received a GED or other high school equivalency credential within the preceding 12 months, or
    • have been a Kansas resident for the preceding three consecutive years, or
    • be a dependent child of a military servicemember who is stationed in another state and who, within the preceding 12 months, have graduated from any out-of-state high school or obtained a GED or other high school equivalency credential, or
    • have been in the custody of the secretary of children and families at any time when enrolled in and attending any of the grades 9-12 and not eligible for assistance under the Kansas Foster Child Educational Assistance Act.

    *Students who first applied for and entered a Promise Scholarship Agreement for Summer 2021, Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 shall continue to be eligible to renew that scholarship in accordance with the terms of their existing agreement.

    How Do I Apply?

    Students applying for the Kansas Promise Scholarship should follow these steps:

    • Complete the ; and
    • Complete the free application for  using 91黑料专区 Tech's Federal School Code 010689; and
    • Enroll in a Promise-eligible program at 91黑料专区 Tech (listed below); and
    • Enter into a Kansas Promise Scholarship Agreement with the Kansas Board of Regents by which you agree to live and work in Kansas for a minimum of two consecutive years following successful completion of your program; and
    • Complete and submit the Kansas Promise Scholarship Renewal application (and the FAFSA) for any academic year(s) following the initial award for which you wish to continue receiving the Promise Scholarship for your Promise-eligible program; and
    • Maintain satisfactory academic progress in the courses and successfully complete the Promise-eligible program for which you received the Kansas Promise Scholarship within 36 months from your first Promise Act class start.

    If your program of study continues beyond one year, you will need to complete a Kansas Promise Service Scholarship Renewal Application to continue to be eligible for funding.

    Please note: Per state-priority guidelines, funds for spring semester awards are reserved for students awarded these scholarships in the fall semester who continue to spring semester in the same program. Grades will be reviewed at the end of the fall semester to ensure that students meet satisfactory academic progress.

These programs are subject to change at the discretion of the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR). Further eligibility requirements may apply to transfer programs.
