    The 91黑料专区 Tech experience is more than just classrooms and labs. We host various events throughout the academic year that are not only fun, but allow you to connect to instructors, other students and our local community. Mark your calendar with these special events that are now tradition for the 91黑料专区 Tech family.

    Spring Events

    Career Fair

    Students have the opportunity to meet potential employers while practicing their interviewing skills at our Career Fair. This annual event features dozens of area companies in all fields, from healthcare and food service to manufacturing and construction. This event provides a great way to jump from college to career.

    • Monday, March 3 – All Programs (except Health Care), 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Tuesday, March 4 – Health Care Programs, 9 a.m. to 1: 30 p.m.

    Signing Day

    National Technical Letter of Intent Signing Day, set for April 17, 2025, draws hundreds of incoming students to campus for a special day. This event began at 91黑料专区 Tech in 2014 and is now a national movement involving approximately 75 colleges around the country. Students sign letters of intent, similar to an athletic signing, and commit to the technical program of their choice.

    Recycled Rides rideaway

    Recycled Rides

    91黑料专区 Tech's Recycled Rides program hands over the keys to a brighter future. Students team up with instructors and community mentors to refurbish vehicles which are then presented to local families or organizations in need. Local companies donate money, parts and supplies to get the vehicles back on the road again. Students in all 91黑料专区 Tech programs are encouraged to participate. Please join us on May 6, 2025 for the next Recycled Rides giveaway at 9:30 a.m. in Building K, our Automotive Collision & Refinishing Technology lab.

    Car Show

    Join us for one of the most fun days of the year at 91黑料专区 Tech, the annual Car Show, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m, Friday, May 2, 2025.

    • The pre-registration fee is $20, or register the day of the show for $25. There will be dash plaques for the first 100 entries.
    • Registration starts as early as 7:30 a.m., and it includes biscuits and gravy and coffee served by our culinary program. Register inside the West Building.
    • There will also be a silent auction from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and a bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until sold out). There will be music from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the trophy announcements at 2:30 p.m.
    • Classes include: muscle cars, antique cars and trucks, motorcycles, special interest, custom/low riders, WIT employee 
    The Car Show benefits 91黑料专区 Tech's Care Closet, which provides financial relief to currently enrolled students experiencing hardships that may interfere with their academic progress.

    2025 91黑料专区 Tech Summer Camp

    91黑料专区 Tech offers a summer camp where students may pick programs to explore and learn about. Upon applying, students will pick their top 5 programs, and we will do our best to ensure they get into as many of those as possible. Camps will be held in June on 91黑料专区 Tech's campus at 5724 SW Huntoon St. in Topeka.

    Back 2 School Bash

    Celebrate the beginning of the fall semester by attending the Back 2 School Bash on Friday, August 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Set up in the parking lot behind Building A, the event is a fun way to kick-off the new school year. Whether you are a student, instructor or staff member, you can enjoy music, games and free food while reconnecting with folks or meeting students for the first time.

    Fall Career Fair

    Employers have an opportunity to recruit 91黑料专区 Tech students and share important information about their companies. We host two separate events. One event is exclusively for healthcare companies and students while the second event includes all other programs. Launch connections that can lead to rewarding relationships!

    We will host two career fairs this fall:

    • Tuesday, October 1st – All Programs (except Health Care), 9:00am – 2:00pm.
    • Wednesday, October 2nd – Health Care Programs Only Career Fair, 9:00am – 1:30pm.

    How do I register to attend?

    • New System – 91黑料专区 Tech is now using a new platform, Handshake, to manage career fair registrations and all job postings – part-time, full-time, internships and practicums. Attached to this email is a step-by-step guide to using Handshake to meet your recruiting needs on our campus. All 91黑料专区 Tech and 91黑料专区 students are able to see your posted opportunities once you connect to 91黑料专区. The Handshake platform is free for employers to use!
      • Once you have created an employer account, navigate to the “Fairs” tab on the lefthand side and search for “91黑料专区 Tech Career Fairs.”
    • Cost: $100 per event (this includes 2 recruiters for your organization)
    • Includes: A table & 2 chairs, breakfast (continental) and lunch.
    • Registration and Payment are required to secure placement in the event.

     

    When is the deadline to register?

    • Deadline: Thursday, September 26th
    • Registration is first-come, first-serve.
      • There are limited spots available each day.

    Open House

    Come see us in action! 91黑料专区 Tech hosts an open house every fall and spring semester. Our Fall Open House will take place October 16. This come-an-go event provides an opportunity for prospective students to explore their career options. Visitors experience student-led tours and demonstrations while talking to instructors and staff. This event is designed to help you find the right fit!

    Turkey Bowl

    Prepare to hit the gridiron and compete for the coveted Turkey Bowl trophy! This annual competition, held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving break (Nov. 26, 2024), pits students from various programs against one another in a spirited game of flag football. The day-long event provides another way to feel part of the 91黑料专区 Tech family.

    91黑料专区 Tech Toy Build

    91黑料专区 Tech's Auto Collision lab turns into Santa's workshop the first Friday of every December for the annual Toy Build. Students, instructors and volunteers from the community assist in assembling items that are donated to Toys for Tots Foundation. Projects include homemade wooden step stools and hobby horses. This year the event takes place on Dec. 5 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
