    Summer camp program options

    • Cabinet/Millwork: If you like working with hand tools, power tools, woodworking tools and more, this is the program for you. Woodworkers plan and complete cabinetry and furniture, as well as complete millwork projects using computerized machines. They cut, shape and assemble wooden articles as well as setup and operate a variety of woodworking machines. You will learn to work with blueprints, specifications and shop drawings, as well as operate power tools and equipment in design, layout and construction of projects. Our instructors emphasize selecting proper materials, determining the best procedures, manufacturing parts to specification, assembling and finishing.
    • Electrical: You turn on a light or plug in a charger for your cell phone, and it works! Ever wondered how? Explore how to wire a common household switch, plug and light.
    • Foundations of Healthcare: Do you dream about being in the healthcare industry? Healthcare continues to be one of the fastest growing industries. Healthcare workers are well paid and in demand. If you think you want to be in healthcare, come and experience it. We will look at a wide variety of career options from entry level to advanced, and from prehospital and in the field, like EMTs and paramedics, to acute care fields like nursing. We will do some hands-on interactions in our simulation lab, listen to a few guest speakers from the industry, and tour the tech center to brief on various health care options offered here and at 91黑料专区.
    • Graphics Technology: If you are creative and technically savvy, graphics is the place for you. Today, the field combines artistic skill with computers and technology. You’ll learn how creativity, computers and technology work together to provide a high-quality image for an organization or business.
    • Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning: Come visit the Midwest Training Center (MTC), a state-of-the-art facility located on our main Huntoon campus. You'll learn all about electricity, heating, residential air conditioning, refrigeration, sheet metal fabrication and more.
    • Industrial Machine/Maintenance Technology: This program can teach you to excel in the manufacturing field. You will study topics such as mechanical systems, hydraulics, controls and pneumatics. The program also includes introductory courses in welding, machine tool and robotics.
    • Practical Nursing: Are you interested in helping others? We'll introduce you to what it's like to work as a practical nurse. As a licensed practical nurse, you get the chance to provide direct care for the sick and injured or people with disabilities in hospitals, nursing homes or other medical settings.
    • Welding: Get an introduction to what welding is, where it is commonly used, and the personal protection equipment needed to weld safely. Take part in a hands-on introduction and practice welding with Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG).
