  • What is the 91黑料专区 iAlert mass notification system?

The iAlert system will serve as 91黑料专区 Tech's primary means of communication during a campus emergency or special situation. iAlert technology enables 91黑料专区 Tech to send voice, email and text messages to students, faculty, staff and other contacts such as parents and spouses, to telephone numbers you choose. Whenever a message is broadcast the message is always sent to all 91黑料专区 email addresses. You can also choose to receive these messages via telephone. To review the telephone numbers you have selected to receive voice and text messages, please go to the following site  and login using your My91黑料专区 username and password. In the event of a life threatening emergency both a voice message and a text message will be sent to cell phone numbers. A voice mail message will be left if there is no answer. If the number is entered as a landline phone you will only receive a voice message. No text messages are sent to landline phones. In the event all classes are canceled or 91黑料专区 Tech is closed due to inclement weather, a text message will be sent to all cellular phone numbers. Voice messages are not sent for closing announcements. An e-mail will be automatically sent to your 91黑料专区 email account.

Why do I need to register for this service?

If you only want to receive an email you do not need to register at all because your email address is already enrolled. If you want to receive messages through SMS (text messaging) or via voice messaging you will need to enroll your telephone number by going to the following website  and logging in using your My91黑料专区 username and password. You should be aware of the importance of personal safety and need to assume the responsibility of updating and verifying your registered numbers for iAlert. You need to be informed as quickly as possible in the event of a campus emergency or special situation so you can take appropriate actions in response to the event.

    How do I register?

If you only wish to receive the message via email you do not have to do anything, you are already enrolled! If you would like to receive the messages via telephone or text, please go to the following website  and login using your My91黑料专区 user name and password. From there you will be able to add or remove telephone contact numbers.

How can I update my information once I have registered?

Go to the registration portal at the following website  and you will be able to make changes. You can make changes at anytime. However, please note it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect.

Will iAlert let me know if the campus is closed due to inclement weather?

Only text messages and emails will be sent to notify you of campus closings due to inclement weather because such notices are typically issued at approximately 5 a.m.  If you enrolled only a landline telephone number you will not receive a call about campus closings.

Does 91黑料专区 correct my personal contact information if it is not accurate?

No. Information entered remains inaccurate until you make the correction.

Will my contact information for iAlert be used to update any other information systems?
