    Learning at 91黑料专区 Tech

    This program provides graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills they need to work in the field of cosmetology. Our 51-credit-hour-program includes classroom and clinical instruction that totals 1,500 hours, as required by the Kansas Board of Cosmetology. Students will learn how to artistically integrate haircutting and hairstyling for all clientele types, manage hair color and permanent waving, apply facials and skin care as well as marketing and salon customer service. Attending full-day, you can complete the program in 10 months, while half-day students can complete the program in 24 months. Upon successful completion, you will be prepared to earn a license from the Kansas Board of Cosmetology.

    For dual-credit high school students submission of an application, official partial transcript, and consent to enroll form are required. Adult students must complete an application and submit an official copy of all transcripts. Please see an admissions counselor for details.

    Cosmetology Certification, KS Board of Cosmetology License, OSHA 10

    Upon successful completion, you will be prepared to earn a license from the Kansas Board of Cosmetology.

    Enter The Workforce

    After completing the program you will be prepared to enter the workforce as a Cosmetologist.

    CAREER FORECAST: growing outlook
    Much of the projected employment growth in this occupation is due to recovery from the COVID-19 recession that began in 2020 and is likely to occur early in the decade. The need for hairdressers will stem primarily from population growth, leading to greater demand for basic hair care services. In addition, an increased demand for hair coloring, hair straightening and other advanced hair treatments is expected to continue over the projections decade. SOURCE: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

    Program Cost

    Cost note for high school students: The State of Kansas pays tuition costs through a high school student鈥檚 senior year. However, high school students can only complete 32 to 38 hours of the 52-hour program in four semesters and an optional summer period between their junior and senior years. Additional hours, as a post-secondary student, are required to complete the program and costs are dependent upon the number of hours remaining for completion. See a recruiter for details.
